Welcome to Champs Stats, where all sorts of data have been compiled from various state wrestling tournaments. Here you will find listed by name and school, all of the 4, 3, 2, time champions from the state, but each of the thousands of 1-time state champions from the Wyoming and Utah state High School Wrestling championships. We also have included the names of each athlete who was able to finish in the top 6 in each of their 4 years of high school competition.
There is much more included in this app however, as other interesting data have emerged relating to the most common family names that have achieved different levels of success through the years of each state`s culminating event dating back to 1938. Family information is divided and ranked into 3 categories. You can see those that have had (1) the most place-winners, (2) the most state championships, as well as those that have had (3) the highest championship percentage among their place-winners.
Also, we have taken the opportunity to provide an easy reference for those that are looking to find the team champions, in all classes from the beginning of the tournament until the most recent tournament in 2012.
There are other interesting facts and information that is included here in the app regarding different team streaks that are significant, such as: Teams that have had consecutive years of at least 1 place-winner, 1 athlete in the championship finals, as well as teams that have had at least one state champion in consecutive years. Those streaks are divided into 2 lists, those streaks that are still active as of 2012, and those streaks that are the best all-time. And the last of the consecutive years streaks, shows those teams that have finished in the top 4 or 5 at the state tournament, both active and best all time in each of their respective classifications.
Finally, you can see where each team ranks in terms of team totals in 3 categories: Team championships, individual state champions, and place-winners.
We welcome any feedback that you would care to provide, and hope that you enjoy this app and share it with your family and friends, and fellow wrestling fans across the state.
